How long have you worked at RealMed?

I joined RealMed in September 2008, having previously worked with health plans, information technology, corporate health benefits, health care service companies and their clients. What I've enjoyed the most about RealMed is seeing our clients achieve actual tangible improvements. Clients really like working with us, because our people are friendly and listen to them.


Why did you choose to be part of the RealMed team?

I joined RealMed for three reasons. First, I saw an opportunity for the company to build upon a flexible application and to make it better, and then for us to tell more people about it. We have expanded gradually in key states and now have opportunities to move beyond those states.

Second, RealMed is the only company that serves providers as well as payers by focusing first on the doctors' offices and billing areas, making them much more efficient and improving their cash flow. We provide frequent releases incorporating our providers' best ideas, as well as delivering custom edits, but we also have numerous development projects and services for payers. So, quite simply, when a practice improves its own revenue cycle management, payers benefit as well. Providers who use RealMed send clean claims, make three to five times fewer calls, and dramatically reduce appeals and other problems for payers. Having expertise developing services for both payers and providers makes the payment cycle more effective for everybody.

And third, our client retention rate is the highest in the industry. It's because our technology makes it easy to manage every payer and because our people listen to clients and visit them in their offices. So, really, our people are our best technology.
